Two Huge Events in One Weekend

- and We Pulled It Off!!!

We just completed our two biggest fundraisers back to back at Summers Past Farms. Despite the cool rainy weather, we had a great turnout for our Alpine Challenge Mountain Bike Ride which funds our Alpine Challenge Scholarships.  The following day, hundreds of guests from all over the County joined us to sample wines and gourmet cuisine from 28 wineries, and 18 restaurants.  Funds from this event are used all year to support needs in the Alpine community, especially those that are focused on children.  Be sure to click on the Photo Album in the menu to the left to view photos from these events and our many others.

About Our Club
We are the second largest Kiwanis Club in our District (California, Nevada and Hawaii), and have established a reputation for excellence within Kiwanis International as one of the largest and most active clubs.

Our Club has donated approximately $680,000 to Rady Children's Hospital since 1990!

In August 2013, the Kiwanis Club of Alpine was prominently featured in the Kiwanis International Magazine as a small California community with a big Kiwanis heart.

We were named "Organization of the Year" at the 2015 Alpine Leadership and Public Service Awards. Current President, Greg Fox, was presented with a Community Organization Recognition Award by the Alpine Business Networking Association. Immediate Past President Brent Wolf received a Community Organization Award from our club. Past President, Dan Foster, received the Humanitarian Award for his work with the Alpine Veterans Wall of Honor.

We are known not only for our service to the children of the world, especially those living in Alpine, but also for our camaraderie and fellowship, and for the fun we have making our community a better place for everyone.

When asked, "What makes the Kiwanis Club of Alpine so successful?", member Charles Nelson replied,

"It is the work.  The work we do is the engine for building and maturing the club. People who join the club are from all walks of life but have in their heart something in common. That is a desire to improve the quality of life in their community and to help children grow and live life successfully. The work provides an opportunity for members to work together forming teams and expanding acquaintenance with each other. Our common motives quickly build mutual appreciation of each other.  The teamwork matures and builds a family and we care about each other. This process that makes such a contribution to community and children yields an unmatched experience for all of us."
