Bowling for Rady Children's Hospital! - 06/12/2018

We had a very successful bowling tournament to raise money for Rady Children's Hospital this week.  Michelle Derald (left) and Greg Whalen (right) were the lucky winners of $500 prizes each.  Thanks go to Sean Reiter, Viejas bowling manager (center) who assisted Chairman Alan Hayward in putting this event together.

This morning, President Ray Sopfe assisted Lieutenant Governor Greg Fox in inducting  the fourteenth couple to join our Kiwanis family, Amber and Alberto Torres!  


Kids Have Great Fun at Soap Box Derby! - 06/02/2018

Fifteen Stock and eight Super Stock racers competed in our summer Soap Box Derby for a chance to compete in the Nationals in Akron, Ohio.  Experienced racer Faith Fox shared tips for success with our new racers.  It was a fun, family-oriented event enjoyed by all.

Kylee Schwenck and Hailey McKenzie were this year's recipients of our $3,000 Alpine Challenge Scholarships, which also include a new laptop computer!  Our congratulations go out to these deserving students!

Kylee Schwenck and Tess Loarie, whose leadership as President and Vice President of our Granite Hills HIgh School Key Club led to a very successful year of service, were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship from our club.


Wonderful Performance by GHHS Choir! - 05/26/2018

Every year we provide financial assistance to the fabulous choir at Granite Hills High School.  To thank us, they visit our club twice a year and treat us to the most amazing musical performances.


Magician Entertains Us! - 05/19/2018

At our Saturday morning meeting, Amazing Dana, the magician who entertains the children while we tally scores for Youth Olympics, was attempting to impress a skeptical Rose Signore.


Vintage Alpine Packed Them In! - 05/06/2018

More than 600 people from all over San Diego County turned out for the very successful 28th Annual Vintage Alpine event at Summers Past Farms.  Proceeds are used by the Alpine Kiwanis to help support community projects and youth programs the following year.

President Greg Fox surpised Louise Phipps with the Key Club Advisor pin and the added the Kiwanian of the year pin tab from the 2013 -14.
