Children's Hospital Miracle Mile of Quarters Curly Collier
Annual event sponsored by the San Diego area Kiwanis Clubs (called Division 100) - members lay quarters onto a concrete runway to illustrate the amount of collected donations in relation to a mile of quarters. Funds raised for the Hospital during the year are presented.
Children's ID Tom Lewis
Annual event held the 2nd Saturday in October for the Alpine Community. Personalized laminated ID cards or "My Precious Kid ID/Fingerprint/DNA" Kits are provided.
Courage for Kids Rose Urdahl
Huggable bears for children staying at Children's Hospital or the Polinsky Children's Center are provided during the year.
Cub Scouts Sponsor Charlie Howell
Kiwanis advisor to the Alpine Cub Scout Troop 105.
ESD Junior Fair Doug Benson
A pig, available at auction, is purchased from an East County Youth and given back for resale to benefit a chosen charity.
Foster Parents Respite Night Al Martinez
A foster parent's night off. Parents leave their foster children at the Community Center under the supervision of the foster agency staff. Kiwanis provides support to the agency staff and discount coupons to the parents.
JMMS Speech Contest Corinne Lewis
Annual event in the Spring where finalist from Joan MacQueen Middle School's 8th grade compete for the best essay and presentation techniques.
Key Club Sponsor Pam Price
Kiwanis advisor to the Granite Hills High School's Key Club.
Kite Flying Bill Burton
Annual event for Alpine kids of all ages. Club provides kites and knowledgeable assistance on how to get the kites flying high.
Special Olympics Jim Cate
Annual event at Grossmont High School in March or April. Kiwanis provides volunteer power needed to orchestrate the event, including buddies for the athletes.
Teens at Risk Scholarship Fund Jim Mann
Provides scholarships to college for teens with issues related to truancy, substance abuse, runaway, peer pressure and/or personal crisis.
Young Children - Priority One Jim Mann
At least two projects are identified and accomplished - one addressing a local children's need and one supporting either the Kiwanis International major emphasis program or the District Governor's service project.
Youth Olympics Corinne Lewis
Annual event for Alpine youth at AES in January - includes running, jumping, basketball throw, bicycle obstacle course, baseball throws, etc.

Adopt-A-Highway Jerry Hines
A sponsored two-mile stretch of Interstate-8 passing by Alpine - pick up trash thrown along the sides of the freeway.
Alpine Kiwanis Food Trailer Pene & George Manale
Ken Schuettenhelm
A trailer for preparing hamburgers, hot dogs, pancakes, etc. When not used at Kiwanis functions, it is loaned to various groups in the Alpine area when requested. Kiwanians setup and remove the trailer and may man it for the event.
American Flags Display Carl Berry

Flags are positioned at the corner of Alpine Blvd. and Tavern Road on all Holidays and on other special occasions. Flags are also displayed at the Community Center park during various events.

Coordinates and publicizes the San Diego County Bloodmobile visits to Alpine during the year.
Christmas Parade of Lights Sue Roff
Help with crowd control and coordination for the annual parade through downtown Alpine in December.
Clean Alpine Day Pene & George Manale
Coordinates Kiwanis participation and providing the Kiwanis Trailer for free refreshments to individuals who help with the Annual roadside clean-up of downtown Alpine and surrounding streets.
Fire Fighters Appreciation Dick Rabell
Annual meeting where Fire Fighters and various agencies serving Alpine are recognized and awarded.
Independence Day Parade Debbie Jackson
Annual "old fashioned" parade with horses, llamas, kids, motorcycles, and antique cars promoting community spirit and patriotism in our community and in our youth. Kicks off with biplane fly-by. Held in the Crown Hills area of Alpine.
International Children’s Relief Project Ron Ault
Identify and advise the club of worthy organizations or projects providing relief to children in areas outside the borders of the United States in which this club can either personally assist/participate and/or financially support.
Kiwanis One Day Jim Cate
An annual event when all the Kiwanis-family clubs in Cal-Nev-Ha do community service projects together. The Division will host a single division-wide project bringing members of Kiwanis, Circle K, Key Club, KIWIN's, Builders, K-Kids, and AKtion to work side-by-side.

Annual meeting where officers of the various law enforcement agencies serving Alpine are recognized and awarded.

"Alpine Challenge" Bike Ride Ed Paul

Annual bike ride in April with riders from San Diego County and beyond. Rides setup for all ages and capabilities. All proceeds support the Teens at Risk program and Children's Hospital.
Children Miracle Network Radiothon Rose Urdahl
Annual radiothon to promote and solicit funds for the Children's Hospital. Kiwanis members "man" the telephones to accept pledges.
Chili Cook-Off Don Parker
Chili prepared by groups/organizations are judged and sold. Drinks and entertainment are also provided. Funds are used to support the Alpine Community Center.
Cystic Fibrosis Walk Chuck Murray
Participation in the annual walk to promote awareness and to collect donations.
Easter Pancake Breakfast Larry Curtis

Annual May event where wine vineyards and area restaurants provide attendees with samples of their wares. An outdoor, "under the tent" affair with music and raffle items. Proceeds support various Kiwanis projects throughout the year and provide funds to local groups.

Plans and coordinates the annual Club meeting to install the new officers and board members - normally occurs on a Saturday night the end of September or first of October.

Visits to other Kiwanis clubs in the area, during their regularly scheduled meetings, with special emphais on all Division 31 clubs.
